In winter there is just something magical about Whitby. The quaint little houses and shops shining cosy lights, the cobbles on the narrow streets shining in the streetlight, and the fresh sea air blowing in. We’ve put together our 5 top reasons for visiting in the winter.
A day out or holiday choices can be limited when visiting with your beloved four legged friends, but here in Whitby dogs are welcomed. Find out more with our dog friendly recommendations.
Visited Hetty and Betty’s for the first time yesterday as part of View Yorkshire’s photography workshop. Sampled one of their signature Yorkshire afternoon teas. As vegetarians we enjoyed the battered Brie in place of fish, and the scones were a meal in themselves. Another member of the group was gluten free and was well catered for too. Our first visit, but it won’t be our last!
Visited Whitby and had lunch here. Three of us had fish and chips and the fourth had a ham and tomato sandwich. A piece of lemon drizzle cake was our dessert. Service was very good.
