Wedding Entertainment Ideas

Planning your day can sometimes be difficult when you are looking to fill the gaps in the day. You don’t want a lull where your guests find themselves with little to do. Below we’ve put together some wedding entertainment ideas to help you fill the gaps.

1. Unique Wedding Entertainment – make your entertainment about you, your day, and your style. Try to find the supplier that best matches your plans.

2. Wedding Caricaturists – Hire an artist to join you on the day, creating fun drawings of your guests. A great keepsake for your guests to take home.

3. Magicians – Hire a magician for a few hours to perform table magic. A fun way to add a bit of mystery to your day.

4. Mr & Mrs – A great way to have fun with your guests on the day. The happy couple sit back to back and hold one their own shoes and one of their spouses. Questions are asked, such as “Who gets embarrassed the most easily?” and they raise the corresponding shoe as their answer.

5. How Well Do You Know Us Quiz – This can be great fun. Make a journal of your relationship or print out lots of photos of your time together with little clues. Encourage your guests to read them throughout the day, then host a quiz asking questions such as “where did we meet?”.

6. Singers – A surefire way for keeping everyone entertained and keeping the tempo of the day up. A selection of songs from across all years works best as then there’s something for everyone.

Top Tips:

1. Before planning your entertainment set your budget, and be realistic in your expectations. You don’t want to set your heart on a 10 piece swing band to find that your budget won’t stretch that far.

2. You want your entertainment to be memorable in a good way. Try to match your entertainment to your guests. If you guests are low-key, then a drag queen show may not be the ideal choice. If you guests are high energy a poetry recital might not be the ideal choice.
