Wedding Venue Decor Ideas
Planning your wedding decor can sometimes be overwhelming. You think you have decided and then another idea pops up and you start changing your plans again. Here’s our top tips on planning your wedding decor:
1. Before anything else, set your budget. You do not want to set your heart on a decor to find it’s beyond your budget.
2. DIY or Supplier? There are pros and cons to both. You need to ask yourself three questions. Once you know the answers to the questions, you can decide which is best for you.
- Do I realistically have time to do the venue dressing?
- Can I afford for a supplier to do the venue dressing?
- Do I have the expertise, budget and resources to get the look I want by going DIY?
3. Choose your colours. Things to consider when choosing your colours:
- Time of year – each season has its own colours, for example burnt orange in October. Or maybe you want to do a colour opposite to the seasonal colour how about dusty pink in December?
- Availability of flowers – if you’re using fresh flowers think about what will be available, and therefore what colours. For example daffodils in December would be difficult.
4. Choose your style. Do you want a rustic theme, a gothic theme, a traditional theme? Think about your venue, what style would best fit?
5. Table sizes. Think about how small/big your tables will be and how big your centrepieces need to be.
Top Tip:
Our Top Tip for Wedding Decor is to pick a colour scheme and style and stick to it. Stop researching, stop looking at other ideas. You will give yourself unnecessary stress (and possibly end up spending more) by constantly switching and changing. Find your style and colour scheme and stick with it.
